Mostly women in the society don't have rights. People think that they are weak. People think that they cannot do things like what men do. People think they are incapable. People think they can't strive on their own without anyone's help. People think WOMEN can't shine bright like the stars in the sky. 

Gender and Development is very important because it will give justice and empowerment to all women and gender equality. Justice that proves that all women are capable of doing anything and all women can shine bright like the starts in the sky. Everyone is equal.

Image result for vawc"Republic Act 9262 or Violence Against Women and their Children (VAWC) of 2004 seeks to address the prevalence of violence against women and children (VAWC) by their boyfriend or ex-boyfriend, intimate partners like husband or ex-husband, live-in partner or former live-in partner, and dating partner or former dating partner.

Republic Act 9262 is also very important because nowadays, a lot of issues are rising up like battered wife/girlfriend, rape case of children by their mother's boyfriend/husband. The fact that there is this law protecting women and their children, we can now ensure everyone’s safety.

June 12, 1898 is the day when our country tasted its own freedom from the Spanish Colonization. Every year, all Filipinos are gathering together to celebrate this special holiday occasion. Since it is a national holiday, government offices are closed including business establishment except shopping centers.
